Echosmith’s “Cool Kids” Goes Platinum

Echosmith is in the midst of one of their biggest weeks to date, in a year that’s already taken them from indie darlings to 2014’s breakout success story. Their single “Cool Kids” is certified Platinum, which they celebrated yesterday at Warner Bros. Records headquarters in Burbank, CA, and with the extra celebration of seeing the song performed by Taylor Phelan on last night’s live playoffs of NBC’s The Voice. They’ll play the hit single on NBC’s The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, Nov. 13, and that same night perform at the “VH1 You Oughta Know Live in Concert” event. The band will cap off the week with a sold-out show at New York’s Webster Hall on Friday, Nov. 14, and a performance at the upcoming Nickelodeon HALO Awards, to air on Nov. 30.

Deadmau5 Gets Collected

5 years of mau5 –due out November 24 (Ultra Music)–offers a cornucopia of works from one of electronic music’s heralded producers, deadmau5. Over the weekend, the track list was revealed via his fellow 2014 Gumball Rally cohort David Hasslehoff’s Twitter. It encompasses highlights from his beloved back catalog alongside exclusive and new remixes from friends of his label mau5trap.

Rustie Gets “Lost” For New Video

Rustie is sharing the second video from his latest album Green Language for the track “Lost” featuring Numbers cohort Redinho. It’s a hyper-synthetic ode to the 80s electro love ballad and Rustie describes as “the closest thing I’ve written to a traditional pop song” now brought to life with a pop music video.

Kat Edmonson Visits A Prairie Home Companion

Kat Edmonson rounds out 2014 with select dates in New York at the Town Hall on November 22 for a taping of “A Prairie Home Companion” and December 3 in Denver for eTown. In February and March, she will perform in cities across the U.S. playing songs from her critically acclaimed new album The Big Picture, available on Sony Music Masterworks. Kicking off in her home state of Texas, Edmonson will perform Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater.

Dancing With The Stars: Live! Tours North America

As announced live on air last week, Dancing with the Stars, ABC’s leading entertainment show, is bringing a one-of-a-kind touring production to fans across North America beginning December 27th. During last night’s show it was revealed that three more fan favorites will be joining the live tour. Two-time champion (and Dancing with the Stars Australia judge) Kym Johnson will join pro dancers Keo Motsepe and Sasha Farber on the 38-city North American tour. They will join previously announced pros Mark Ballas and Witney Carson. Further announcements will be made throughout the season revealing additional tour members.
