Jeff Austin Band To Tour The Simple Truth

The Jeff Austin Band will start the new year with a series of shows in Colorado before hitting the road in earnest in 2015. The initial tour dates in January and February focus on the Midwest. In March the band teams up with the Travelin’ McCourys featuring Bill Nershi for The Road to DelFest mini-tour; the two groups will perform at the Brooklyn Bowl on March 4 before making stops in Ardmore, Pa., Washington D.C., and Charlottesville, Va.

Red Sun Rising Goes To Razor & Tie

Razor & Tie announces the addition of the Akron based rock band Red Sun Rising to its worldwide label roster. The band will work with producer Bob Marlette (Black Sabbath, Shinedown, Seether) in early 2015 and will release its debut album in 2015. Red Sun Rising is confirmed to play Rock on The Range as well as a number of additional festivals. Fresh off tour with Pop Evil the band will be hitting the road hard this year.

New Build’s “Pour It On” Debuts On T Magazine

The video is the brainchild of cult filmmaker Richard Heslop who New Build approached after seeing his involvement with Derek Jarman. Richard had shot the footage of the subject, artist Rachel Gomme, and integrated the song with the piece, discovering a revelatory lyrical relevance. The result is an emotional experience, demonstrating and mirroring the human capacity for resistance in the face of intense and increasing pressure.

Lady Lazurus’s Miracles To Be Released March 3rd

Lady Lazarus, the acclaimed solo project of artist Melissa Ann Sweat, returns with a new album, Miracles, out on March 3. The album is Sweat’s third release as Lady Lazarus and the first release from her new label Queen’s Ransom. Produced by John Keller, Miracles elevates Sweat’s lo-fi keyboard style with the use of a baby grand piano, orchestral percussion from Gary Mallaber (Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Miller Band) and additional instrumentation including synths, strings, French horn and flute. “I knew that these songs wanted and deserved more instrumentation than in the past, and I was finally ready to explore these options,” explains Sweat.
