Modest Mouse Headlines Gasparilla

The Gasparilla Music Festival presented by SYKES (“GMF”) has named MODEST MOUSE as this year’s Festival headliner. Also announced today are main-stage performers, Mutemath and The Abyssinians, who join previously announced performers: Gogol Bordello, The Gaslight Anthem, Trampled by Turtles, The Budos Band, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr., Dumpstaphunk, Hiss Golden Messenger, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Hot 8 Brass Band, Margo & the Pricetags, and Packway Handle Band. Local Florida favorites include The Hip Abduction, Miggs, Selwyn Birchwood, Suenalo, Thomas Wynn & the Believers, RedFeather, Amber Lynn Nicol, UNRB and Mt. Zion Gospel Choir with more acts to be added.

Olly Murs’ Never Been Better Out March 10th

Internationally acclaimed British singer/songwriter Olly Murs’ sophomore U.S. album, Never Been Better, is set for release Tuesday, March 10 via Columbia Records. Fans will receive a download for “Wrapped Up,” the funk-infused first single which features Gym Class Heroes front-man Travie McCoy, instantly upon pre-order. Cassandra Wilson Meets Billie Holiday Meets Nick Cave

Cassandra Wilson will release an otherworldly homage to Billie Holiday, ‘Coming Forth By Day’ (Legacy Recordings) April 7, 2015, on what would have been Holiday’s 100th birthday. Wilson, who has drawn inspiration from Billie Holiday for her entire life, chose the title as a way to honor the iconic singer: ‘Coming Forth By Day’ is an English translation of the title of the ancient Egyptian “Book of the Dead,” a collection of magic spells intended to assist the journey of those that have passed on through the afterlife.

alt-J Comes To Coachella, Madison Square Garden And More

alt-J announce additional dates to their 2015 North and South American Tour in Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, and Coachella. The tour kicks off at Festival Estereo Picnic and includes dates at Lollapalooza Chile, Lollapalooza Argentina, and Lollapalooza Brazil. Following those dates, the band heads to New York City for their Madison Square Garden debut on March 30. Pre-sale tickets go on sale this Wednesday, January 14 at 10:00am local and general public go on sale starting Friday, January 16 at 10:00am local.
