Meg Mac Tours With D’Angelo

After her highly anticipated inaugural US run of shows with Clean Bandit, Australia’s most buzzworthy breakout artist of 2014, Meg Mac, is bringing her stunningly sultry pop sounds to the stage again, this time joining neo-soul messiah D’Angelo And The Vanguard on the road this summer. Kicking off June 7th, in Oakland, California, the tour will run through the end of the month, concluding with a solo show in New York City at Mercury Lounge on June 29th. Tickets for D’Angelo are currently on sale now. Tickets for Mercury Lounge will go on sale Wednesday, May 20th.

Tyler Farr’s “Withdrawals” Coming

Columbia Nashville’s Tyler Farr has the No. 1 song in Country music this week, “A Guy Walks Into A Bar;” reaching the No. 1 position on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase Country charts. The RIAA certified GOLD song “A Guy Walks Into A Bar” is the first radio single released off Farr’s sophomore album, Suffer In Peace, which released on April 28. The Melissa Peirce/Jonathan Singleton/Brad Tursi co-written track is Farr’s THIRD No. 1 song following “Redneck Crazy” and “Whiskey In My Water” from the Missouri native’s debut album Redneck Crazy (2013).

Courtney Love has announced a surprise 7″ release via Ghost Ramp / Crush Music. Love is sharing “Miss Narcissist” today via all digital retailers and streaming services. Joey Ramone’s Birthday Bash Tomorrow

Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer and cultural icon *JOEY RAMONE* would have turned 64 this year had he not succumbed to lymphoma in 2001, just one month before his birthday. Even after his passing, *JOEY*’s mother Charlotte Lesher and brother Mickey Leigh kept their promise to celebrate the event with a huge party honoring the beloved musician, and the annual *JOEY RAMONE BIRTHDAY* *BASH* was born.

Pussy Riot And More Advocate For Tania Bruguera

Maria (Masha) Alekhina and Nadezhda (Nadya) Tolokonnikova, founding members of Pussy Riot, along with Hunter Heaney, Director of the Voice Project, made a surprise call to Cuban performance artist Tania Bruguera who was arrested late 2014 in Havana. The phone meeting was held during the press conference following an event on May 7, 2015, hosted by SITE Santa Fe and Santa Fe University of Art & Design in New Mexico.

ACM Lifting Lives Gifts Task Force Dagger

Laura Marling Performs For Austin City Limits HOF Ceremony

Laura Marling has joined the list of performers for the 2015 Austin City Limits (ACL) Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Thursday, June 18th. Marling was handpicked by the family of Texas singer/songwriter Townes Van Zandt and the producers of ACL Live to perform her version of the 2015 inductee’s “Colorado Girl.” Also performing that evening will be Lyle Lovett, Gillian Welch, Vince Gill, Jason Isbell, Patty Loveless, Los Lobos frontman David Hidalgo, Los Texmaniacs and Townes’ son JT Van Zandt. The celebration, hosted by GRAMMY award winning country artist Dwight Yoakam, honors the second class of inductees with one-of-a-kind music performances and tributes. The four other trailblazing artists who will be inducted along with Van Zandt on the special night are Loretta Lynn, Guy Clark, Flaco Jiménez, and Asleep at the Wheel.
