Continue readingLegendary guitarist/songwriter Jorma Kaukonen is premiering a track from his upcoming release, Ain’t In No Hurry, out on February 17, 2015, here online at Relix Magazine. The song, “Bar Room Crystal Ball,” was originally recorded for Hot Tuna’s 1975 album, Yellow Fever. This new version features Jorma’s Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna bandmate and longtime collaborator, bassist Jack Casady. Ain’t in No Hurry is available for pre-order now on iTunes and Amazon. Jorma is currently on tour (scroll down for dates) and has announced 2015 tour dates that include both solo and Hot Tuna shows as well as an appearance at SxSW.

He’s brought back the Yardbirds’ first guitarist, TOP TOPHAM! He was in the band before Clapton and had to leave because his parents didn’t approve of his career choice. Top was an art student and had to continue with his studies. Enter another art student from the same secondary school, Eric Clapton, and you know what happened from there. But, Top is now happy to leave his paintbrush home and play the blues.
