Rosanne Cash Scores Three Grammy WIns

Rosanne Cash won three GRAMMY Awards today to become one of the top winning artists at the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Her acclaimed album The River & The Thread won for Best Americana Album while the song “A Feather’s Not A Bird,” which she co-wrote with John Leventhal, won for both Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots Song.

The Kickback To Tour With Born Cages & Dreamers

Chicago’s The Kickback spent most of 2014 on the road, touring the country and playing festivals such as Warmfest, Mile of Music, NXNE, AudioTree, CMJ and more. Next month they head back out with Born Cages & Dreamers for a month-long run that takes them down south to Savannah Stopover, through Nashville, Tulsa, Houston and San Antonio, before bringing them back up north through Omaha and Minneapolis, back through Chicago and heading east to Pittsburgh. OMD’s Junk Culture Expands

The first disc contains the original album remastered at Abbey Road, overseen by the band. Disc 2 contains a selection of b-sides and alternative mixes that have previously only been available on vinyl. As well as overseeing the remastering, Andy and Paul pulled 3 unreleased demos from the archive and 2 never heard before tracks ’10 To 1’ and ‘All Or Nothing’.

Emily Hearn’s “Volcano” Video Erupts At Billboard

24 year-old singer / songwriter Emily Hearn will release Hourglass on March 10, 2015. The album was produced by Chad Copelin (Christina Perri, Green River Ordinance, Ben Rector), and written in her native Athens, GA as well as Michigan, Tennessee and North Carolina with her bassist husband, Michael Harrison as well as collaborations with Ben Rector (“Please, Don’t Take My Love Away” and “Save Me”) and Emily Lynch (“Volcano”), is an assortment of twelve beautifully poignant and effervescent songs that came together from one inspiration: time and how it affects us.
