Dave Mason’s Traffic Jam Goes Hawaiian

It’s been over three years since legendary singer-songwriter and guitarist Dave Mason has performed in the Hawaiian Islands and he’s looking forward to his long-awaited return next month. Beginning Thursday, June 11, Dave and his band, Dave Mason’s Traffic Jam, will be hitting the stage at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Castle Theatre for his first of four shows in four consecutive nights on the Hawaiian Islands.

Ian Andersons To Perform Jethro Tull The Rock Opera

Celebrating the life and times of the English agricultural inventor, the concerts tell the story of the original Jethro Tull’s life, reimagined as if in the near future and illustrated with Anderson’s best-known songs from the rock band Jethro Tull repertoire. The performance is in a quasi-operatic structure with virtual guests on video and some additional newly-written songs to round off the elements of the story.

Patrick Watson Video “Hearts” Debuts

Acclaimed Canadian artist Patrick Watson confirms new U.S. and European fall tour dates in support of his new album Love Songs for Robots (out now via Domino Records). The tour will now run through December, concluding with dates in New York City (at Irving Plaza) and Philadelphia (Under Ground Arts). The first of his US Love Songs For Robots dates is tonight, at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC.

Ornette Coleman Lawsuit Filed

A federal lawsuit has been filed on behalf of Grammy® Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Ornette Coleman against Jordan McLean of the band Antibalas and Amir Ziv. The complaint alleges that McLean and Ziv recorded Coleman, then age 79, at his home in 2009, and then recently released these recordings to the public without his consent or knowledge as the album New Vocabulary on System Dialing Records.
