On internet retailer Amazon, where an exclusive deluxe edition of Nostalgia with extra content and super-luxe casebound book is available HERE, the album topped the overall charts following its October 21 physical release. Nostalgia was released on vinyl on September 30. The album also debuted in the Top 10 in Canada, hitting No. 9, while Nostalgia saw its release in the UK and the rest of the world this week. Nostalgia features the legendary singer-songwriter’s fresh and hauntingly beautiful takes on iconic American compositions by such artists as Hoagy Carmichael, Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Billie Holiday and Screamin’ Jay Hawkins.
Lennox launched Nostalgia with a series of high-profile television appearances – including “Good Morning America,” “Live With Kelly And Michael,” “Tavis Smiley,” “The View,” “Charlie Rose,” “The Meredith Vieira Show” and “Larry King Now” – that continues with “CBS Saturday Morning” on November 8. She sits down with legendary newsman Dan Rather for an in-depth, hour-long interview on AXS TV’s “The Big Interview” on Tuesday, November 11, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT. During their conversation, Lennox speaks at length with Rather about her four-decade music career, her activism and advocacy work in Africa and much more. Annie will appear on BBC America’s “The Graham Norton Show” on November 15. Later in November, on Thanksgiving morning,
SiriusXM will premiere the hour-long special “Annie Lennox: Iconography.” Iconography hosted by Larry Flick is an exclusive series that honors the life, career, and impact of iconic personalities on SiriusXM’s 24/7 LGBT channel OutQ. The new issue of VVV Magazine, which features Lennox on the cover, includes an extensive Q&A with her. She will also appear on the cover of the November/December issue of ORIGINS Magazine.
