Alesana Recording Live Album December 11th

Alesana Record First Ever Live Album

North Carolina pop-metal icons Alesana are marking a first in their careers. The band is recording their first ever live album on 12/11 in their hometown of Raleigh at Southland Ballroom. The event will only cost five bucks and Alesana will be releasing the set list early so fans can be prepared to sing along with the band.

“We are thrilled to finally be recording a live album,” says vocalist/guitarist Shawn Milke. “It is something we’ve considered doing for years and finally all of the pieces to make it happen have fallen into place. After touring for the last ten years it will be great to capture the energy and intensity of our performance into a collection of live recordings for our fans and friends to enjoy!”

Joining Alesana on the bill are their label-mates The Funeral Portrait who just released their debut EP For The Dearly Departed via Revival Recordings. The show will see additional support from Iselia, Motiv, Cabaret Runaway, and Vanity Strikes.

Alesana is currently hard at work on the third final installment of the Annabel trilogy which is inspired by “The Time Quintet” book series by Madeleine L’Engle.
ABOUT ALESANA

Positive Mental Attitude. This is the mantra that is not only a driving force for Raleigh, North Carolina based Alesana, but also a way of life. Celebrating ten years as a band, the pop-metal sextet is always in high spirits and accustomed to playing their hearts out every night when on the road. Countless US tours, several trips around the world, and six major releases later, Alesana is living proof that hard work and dedication dreams can go a long, long way.

Newly inked to Raleigh based Revival Recordings, the band is slated to release the conclusion to their Annabel trilogy in the fall of 2014. The yet-to-named album will be produced by Alesana’s own Shawn Milke and engineered by Neil Engle at Adelaide Recording Studios in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Released in December of 2013, the stand-alone single Fatima Rusalka progressed the band’s conceptual trilogy and served as a bridge to their forthcoming full length release, the final piece of a three-part story. The song does what can only be expected of the storytelling rock machine which is to draw from past influences while incorporating new possibilities, dynamics, and sonic exploration.

Having spent time on Tragic Hero Records, Fearless Records, and Epitaph Records, Alesana’s entire catalogue of Try This With Your Eyes Closed, On Frail Wings of Vanity and Wax, Where Myth Fades To Legend, The Emptiness, and A Place Where The Sun Is Silent has charted on the Billboard Top 200.

Alesana’s latest release The Decade EP is now available on iTunes via Artery Recordings.
