With total candor and without apology, in ROCKS Perry shares what life is like as the lead guitarist and co-head writer of Aerosmith. Both a study in brotherhood and solitude, Perry reflects on the people who stood beside him during the highs and lows as he and Aerosmith skyrocketed into a world of fame and utter excess. Beginning with a foreword by Johnny Depp, ROCKS has already earned praise from some of the biggest names in rock and roll: “An insightful and harrowing roller coaster ride” (Slash); “Rocking Joe Perry ‘rocks’ again” (Jimmy Page); “When I grow up, I want to be Joe Perry” (Gene Simmons). And with over 100 photographs showing Perry’s life on- and off-stage, ROCKS is “evocative” and “will strike gold with every Aerosmith fan” (Publishers Weekly).
