San Francisco’s the Stone Foxes rang in 2015 with the release of their new song “Jericho” as part of their ongoing music release series “Foxes First Fridays.” The bluesy rocker “is about someone trying to break through to someone and trying to break down the walls that people create to protect themselves,” says front man Shannon Koehler.

The Stone Foxes rounded out 2014 with a series of residency shows in San Francisco at the Chapel and in Los Angeles at the Bootleg HIFi. Leading into the Holidays the band is used these residency shows as a platform to raise awareness of a social issue very close to their hearts, hunger and homelessness. In each city they partnered with a local charity in each city to collect canned goods and socks at the shows, and raise awareness of what each organization does in their local community. In Los Angeles the awareness efforts benefitted the Union Rescue Mission and in San Francisco the band partnered with Episcopal Community Services . These partnerships are part of a larger ongoing initiative the Stone Foxes started called The Goodnight Moon Project.
The Stone Foxes will be on tour through out 2015 leading into the release of their full length album Twelve Spells, due out this summer.
