Mark Collie & The Boxmasters Video Shoot Needs Hundreds

BIRMINGHAM AND NASHVILLE

 A Casting Call Will Be Held For 700 Extras For The Live Concert Shoot

In Birmingham On December 3rd

101 Ranch Records is proud to announce that the music video for their artists, Mark Collie and The Boxmasters, will be shot in Birmingham, AL and Nashville, TN. Director Zac Adams from Skydive Films will be shooting live concert footage to be included in the music video, “Raisin’ Cain,” featuring Collie and The Boxmasters on December 3rd in Birmingham.   “Raisin’ Cain” was written by Mark Collie and Billy Bob Thornton and is slated for be released in early 2015.  This is not the first collaboration between Collie and Thornton who have also written the title track for Thornton’s 2001 solo album “Private Radio.”  It is, however, the first time Collie has performed with the Boxmasters.

 “I am looking forward to being back in Alabama,” commented Billy Bob Thornton.  “It is one of the Boxmasters favorite places to play.”

 MJE will be producing the live events filmed in and around Birmingham.  MJE is proud to partner with 101 Ranch Records and the artists to bring their music video shoot to Birmingham and the State of Alabama. The live concert footage will be filmed on December 3rd at Workplay Theater at 500 23rd Street South, Birmingham, AL 35233.

 The producers will be holding a casting call for 700 extras from 6 p.m. – 7  p.m. at Workplay on Wednesday, December 3rd followed by the video shoot will be from 7– 9 p.m. The producers are looking for a variety of extras from all age groups.  All extras must be 18 years of age or older – a valid State issue driver’s license will be required for casting identification.  Extras can be 16 or 17 if accompanied by a parent and/or legal guardian. Formed in 2007, The Boxmasters are Teddy Andreadis on keyboards, JD Andrew on guitar and bass, Brad Davis on guitar, and Billy Bob Thornton on vocals and drums.  With original songs reflecting musical influences from British Invasion bands, traditional country artists, and the Memphis sound of bands such as The Box Tops and Big Star, The Boxmasters present a unique musical style that has been referred to as “modbilly.”

Mark Collie is an accomplished singer, songwriter, actor, producer and filmmaker. Collie has won over both critics and fans with his raw rockabilly sound, superbly crafted songs and high-energy live show.  With a successful series of roles in television and film under his belt, he recently went behind the lens as a filmmaker for his documentary film “The Mountain,” combining his love of film and music.  The documentary was screened at the CMA Music Festival this summer and will be taken to film festivals over the next year.

101 Ranch Records marks the second record label venture from Texas businessman Bob R. Simpson and wife Janice L. Simpson after their 2011 launch of the Christian label RayLynn Records.  The 101 Ranch Records management team also includes Tammy Collie, Vice President and General Manager of RayLynn Records.
