The album is led by the Ian Kirkpatrick-produced “Want To Want Me“ which became the most added track in the history of Top 40 radio, besting the records of pop royalty such as Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Madonna and Katy Perry. Shattering the previous record held by Justin Timberlake at 126, Derulo’s “Want To Want Me” was added to 156 monitored pop stations, making it the biggest Top 40 US radio launch ever. The song is poised to crack the Top 10 at Top 40 and Rhythm radio in the next week. The triple-threat singer, songwriter and dancer took an unconventional approach to releasing his steamy, new music video with the help of the popular social app, Tinder. Closing in on 5 million views since its March 23rd launch, the pop singer became the first musician to use the new promotional strategy which received over 1.1 million favorable swipes to the right in just three days with 14% of user clicking the link in his profile which directed them to the iTunes. Jason will mentor contestants and perform “Want To Want Me” tomorrow April 8th on American Idol‘s “Billboard 100” special at 8/7c on FOX.
