Legendary Singer/Songwriter James Taylor Debuts New Track and Video, “Angels of Fenway” Last Night at Boston’s Fenway Park
Legendary singer/songwriter James Taylor unveiled the new song and video, “Angels of Fenway,” last night during a special media presentation at Boston’s famed Fenway Park. The track appears on his forthcoming album Before This World. Poetically capturing the historic Red Sox/Yankee rivalry, from the Curse of the Bambino to the miraculous Red Sox comeback in ’04, “Angels of Fenway,” is a tribute to Taylor’s favorite team and the enduring power of baseball. “Angels of Fenway” is featured on James Taylor’s new album Before This World, the Five-time GRAMMY® Award winner’s first album of new songs since 2002’s platinum-selling October Road. Produced by Grammy Award®-winner Dave O’Donnell, Before This World features ten songs, nine of which are new James Taylor compositions, and is due out June 16th, 2015 on Concord Records. “Angels of Fenway” will be available for download via iTunes starting tonight at 9:00 PM PT / 12:00AM ET. James Taylor will be on tour this summer including a return to Tangelwood for his traditional Fourth of July concert. In addition, Taylor is set to perform with his All-Star Band for the first time ever at Fenway Park on August 6th, with guest Bonnie Raitt. The special performance sold out 32,000 seats in one day.
