Bay Area rapper G-Eazy is pleased to announce that his hit “From The Bay To The Universe Tour” will continue into the New Year for a second North American tour run. G-Eazy, who was named one of USA Today’s hottest college acts, will hit 23 cities across North American featuring Bay Area artists Kehlani, Jay Ant & Kool John.
With stops in major metropolitan markets such as New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, and Washington D.C., G-Eazy will continue to bring his latest album, These Things Happen, to fans across North America. As the Detroit News mentioned “These Things Happen elevated G-Eazy to mainstream success, and he’s currently selling out concerts across the U.S,” which has translated to over 50,000 tickets sold on the current first leg of “From The Bay To The Universe Tour” featuring Bay Area legend E-40 and IAMSU!. Tickets for the second half of G-Eazy’s “From The Bay To The Universe Tour” go on sale November 21st at www.G-Eazy.com.
G-Eazy, who released These Things Happen in June, has since sold 125,000 copies of the album and has been streamed on Spotify 50 million times after debuting on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop and Top Rap Albums Charts at #1, while garnering the #3 position on both the Billboard 200 and Top Digital Albums Chart. Hissuccess continued throughout the summer, which including G-Eazy embarking on his first European tour, performing on multiple dates of the “Drake vs.Wayne Tour” and his late night TV debut on Late Night With Seth Meyers. Recently, G-Eazy announced his first ever tour dates in Australia and New Zealand taking place this February, literally bringing “The Bay” to the universe.
After MTV dubbed G-Eazy’s “Far Alone” their 2014 “summer jam” and G-Eazy as their “Artist to Watch”, the Oakland Tribune’s declaration thatG-Eazy’s buzz is “deafening” has become an understatement. G-Eazy’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed, earning praise from The New York Times, Pitchfork and VIBE, who noted G-Eazy’s method for success in their review of These Things Happen, stating: “Sans radio single, sans famous rapper cosign, sans beats from super producers, the Bay Area-native has leveraged blog exposure, social media reach and a relentless touring schedule into a sizeable fan base.”
