Fifty Shades Of Grey Gets The Remix Album

REPUBLIC RECORDS RELEASES FIFTY SHADES OF GREY REMIX ALBUM

Republic Records has released the Fifty Shades of Grey Remix Album, which is available now in stores and through all digital partners.

Following the monumental success of the gold-selling, critically acclaimed, and chart-dominating Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, the Remix Album features ten new remixes by top talents. The soundtrack’s two platinum-certified smashes—The Weeknd’s “Earned It (50 Shades of Grey)” and Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do”—receive the remix treatment from Marian Hill and Gazzo, respectively. Meanwhile, Kastra transforms Laura Welsh’s “Undiscovered,” and Kaskade lends his signature style to Skylar Grey’s “I Know You.” The full slate of remixes is included below.

In addition to going Gold stateside, the Fifty Shades of Grey Original Motion Picture soundtrack enjoyed monumental global success. It went Platinum in France, Poland, Russia and Greece and Gold in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Canada, Switzerland, Brazil, Ireland, Austria, Turkey and Taiwan. In addition, the soundtrack shot to #1 on iTunes in over 90 countries and amassed 2.5 million album equivalent sales worldwide in just 7 weeks. The Weeknd’s “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” and Ellie Goulding’s “Love Me Like You Do” are both certified platinum. “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” also reached #1 on Spotify and was the “#1 Most Shazamed Song in the World,” being Shazamed over 2.3 million times and occupying the Top 5 on the music discovery app for five weeks straight. The companion album to the Universal Pictures and Focus Features blockbuster, which has brought in nearly 600 million dollars at the global box office since its mid-February release, has solidified itself as the hottest soundtrack of 2015.
