NPR Music is premiering the video for EELS track “Mistakes Of My Youth” from The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everett, out April 22 on E Works/Pias. Watch the video via NPR (http://youtu.be/it8bSb-THFI).

To celebrate the release, the band will set off on a North American and European tour, kicking off in Phoenix on May 14 with stops in New York, Los Angeles, London and Paris; Chelsea Wolfe will open on most U.S. dates. Please see below for complete tour details.

The introspective new 13-track release from the ever-changing project of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mark Oliver Everett (aka E) is described as “an extraordinarily vivid and intimate document of a personal struggle.” Stereogum recently premiered the new album track “Agatha Chang” at http://bit.ly/MbAwN6 and Paste premiered “Mistakes of My Youth” at http://bit.ly/1e6s0qe, track listing follows. The album will be released in a deluxe 26 track 2 CD edition and a double 12 inch clear vinyl edition (with 13 bonus tracks on vinyl as well); both editions include a free download.

The Cautionary Tales of Mark Oliver Everettmarks the 11th full-length release for EELS, whose debut Beautiful Freak was released in 1996. In addition to the recordings, Everett has embarked on a number of non-musical projects as well including his acclaimed book Things the Grandchildren Should Know and the multiple-award winning Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives documentary film about Everett and his quantum physicist father, Hugh Everett III, broadcast on PBS’ Nova series.
