Color Of Light’s Memory Released Today

COLOR OF LIGHT’S DEBUT LP, MEMORY, IS OUT TODAY VIA IMERA RECORDS

Color of Light is the new project from South Carolina-born singer/songwriter/musician/producer Sean Neuse (formerly Backseat Dreamer). Color of Light’s debut LP, Memory–out 1/6/15 on Imera Records)–deeply journeys through ambient, experimental dream-pop, and shoegaze. This limited edition release is being issued on 150-gram vinyl.

“…like Altered States with a happy ending—the experimentation with REM sleep and yearning for time travel is intact, just replace all the other-dimension animals and terrifying climactic face-warp with friendly leprechauns and a sparkly sunrise.” — The Fader

“…dark rushes of synths collide with the faintest hints of melody, almost as if you tried cross-breeding the glitchy sounds of Germany’s Oval with the earliest recordings that My Bloody Valentine ever put out.” — PopMatters

“Neuse strings together synths that extend into the endless night, layered with hushed vocals barely distinguishable from the electronic soundscape, welding man and machine to create a musical force unparalleled in crisp sophistication.” — Magnet
