Choir Of Young Believers’ “Face Melting” Drops

When listening to Choir of Young Believers, it’s hard not to imagine an army of white-clad singers with arms outstretched, their voices raised in holy polyphony. In actuality, though, the Danish group is the brainchild of Jannis Noya Makrigiannis, a staple of Copenhagen’s underground indie scene. In 2006, Jannis moved to the Greek island of Samos, developing solo material before returning home to gather musicians and friends around him. And thus he formed Choir of Young Believers, an orchestral-pop project marked by magisterial melodies, dark lyrical concerns, and a healthy dose of cathedral-grade reverb.

Dar Williams’ Emerald Shines With Collaborations

Dar Williams’ growth as an individual over her two-decade career has gone hand-in-hand with her evolution as an artist. Tyler Farr’s Suffer In Peace Hits Top 5

A week after Tyler Farr’s new album released, Suffer In Peace sits in the top 5 on the BILLBOARD Top 200 Albums and BILLBOARD Country Albums Charts. This is the second time Farr has reached the Top 5 sales position, with 41,629 in total album activity. Previously with the release of his debut album Redneck Crazy, which released in 2013, landed Farr at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and #5 on the Billboard Top 200. With today’s chart position, it marks Farr as the only solo male country artist in the last 10 years to have his first two studio albums debut in the top-5 on the Billboard 200 Chart.

Lone’s Lemurian Lengthens

Lone’s classic debut album Lemurian gets the deluxe re-issue treatment courtesy of Magic Wire and R&S. Originally released in 2008, it returns in 2015 re-mastered by Matt Colton, with new artwork from Konx-om-Pax and on vinyl for the very first time. The LP has a spot gloss cover, full color printed inner, download codes and initial press is on colored vinyl.

Kali Uchis’ “Rush” Video Bows

“Rush,” the new video from singer, songwriter and producer Kali Uchis, debuts today via The FADER. FADER calls the video, directed by Uchis and creative duo WIISSA, “far-out,” noting, “she channels Death Proof for a hazy romp along the highway in muscle cars and rollerblades.” The track is taken from Uchis’ Por Vida, self-released earlier this year and available via kaliuchis.com.
