Continue readingLike many punk songs, “War of Attrition” contains a lot of honest questioning and seems fed up with something, although the music is continuously upbeat and remains chugging along. Vocalist Elaiza narrates her feelings toward someone, drawing attention to their feelings of uncertainty and not knowing what they mean to each other. What’s remarkable is that she never seems angsty or negative while doing this; but rather simple and poetic- a feat that challenges the genre.
