Kool & The Gang’s Soul Train Award Ceremony Gets BET’d

Last Friday night, iconic soul and funk group Kool & the Gang were honored with the Legend Award for making 50 years of chart-topping music at the Soul Train Awards 2014. The award, which recognizes individuals for their outstanding achievements and contribution to soul music, was accepted by the group – Robert “Kool” Bell, Ronald Bell, George Brown and Dennis Thomas – after a star-studded musical tribute to their legacy and continued relevancy. The show will air on BET and Centric on November 30 at 8pm ET/PT.

Mary J. Blige Brings A Very Grammy Christmas

Nine-time GRAMMY® winner Mary J. Blige is the latest performer announced for “A Very GRAMMY Christmas,” and two-time GRAMMY winner LL COOL J will host the new one-hour entertainment special, which will include performances of holiday songs and current pop hits, as well as artists sharing their favorite holiday and GRAMMY memories. Previously announced performers include singer/songwriter Ariana Grande, three-time GRAMMY-winning group Maroon 5, three-time GRAMMY winner Tim McGraw, and seven-time GRAMMY winner Pharrell Williams. “A Very GRAMMY Christmas” will air on Friday, Dec. 5, 9 – 10 p.m. ET/PT, and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound on the CBS Television Network. Marina And The Diamonds Put Best “Froot” Forward

Marina And The Diamonds released the official video for her latest single “FROOT” today. It can be seen here, http://youtu.be/WZzcY7ASQno. “FROOT” is the first siwardngle off of Marina’s third studio album of the same name, due out worldwide on April 6th. The single’s audio stream has garnered over 2.2 million views on YouTube since its release last month.

Israel Nash Tour Expands

After nearly a year of extensive touring, both stateside and abroad, Israel Nash has confirmed new dates in January in addition to a west coast run in February.
