Alt-J To Play The Garden

Today, alt-J announce their 2015 North and South American Tour. The brief 11-date tour will kick off at Festival Estereo Picnic and will include dates at Lollapalooza Chile, Lollapalooza Argentina, and Lollapalooza Brazil. Following those dates, the band will head to New York City for their Madison Square Garden debut on March 30. alt-J will play a handful more shows throughout the U.S. and finish the short run at Oklahoma City’s Chevy Bricktown Events Center on April 8. Pre-sale tickets go on sale this Wednesday, November 19 at 10:00am local and general public go on sale starting Friday, November 21 at 10:00am local.

Kicker Country Stampede Adds More Performers

The Kicker Country Stampede 2015 line-up just got “A Little Bit Stronger” with the addition of Country superstar Sara Evans, chart-topper Jerrod Niemann, Country music’s fastest rising star Thomas Rhett, one of Rolling Stone’s ‘10 New Artists You Need to Know’ Old Dominion, Country rock band Blackjack Billy and British Country singer/songwriter Sasha McVeigh. They will join previously-announced performers Country megastar and judge on NBC’s The Voice Blake Shelton and award-winning, superstar duo Florida Georgia Line on the Kicker Country Stampede stage in Manhattan, Kansas, June 25-28, 2015.

Giorgio Moroder Goes With Sony

RCA Records and Sony Music is honored to announce today that the founder of disco and an electronic music trailblazer, Giorgio Moroder has signed a worldwide deal with Sony Music International (RCA Records in the US) and will be releasing his first solo album in over 30 years in spring 2015. In celebration of the news, Giorgio shares a brand new video for first song released today from the album entitled “74 Is the New 24.” The video premiered today on VICE/The Creators Project.

After a three-year hiatus, Aimee Mann’s annual Christmas show returns with Aimee Mann and Ted Leo. This year’s special guests include Susannah Hoffs, Paul F. Thompkins, Tim Heidecker, Jonathan Coulton, John Hodgeman and more to be announced. In the past, Mann’s holiday variety show has played to sold-out crowds on both the East and West Coast featuring a mixture of Christmas classics, original music, video, sketches and a host of musical and comedic guests. Alesana Recording Live Album December 11th

North Carolina pop-metal icons Alesana are marking a first in their careers. The band is recording their first ever live album on 12/11 in their hometown of Raleigh at Southland Ballroom. The event will only cost five bucks and Alesana will be releasing the set list early so fans can be prepared to sing along with the band.
